With the popularity of smart phones and the rapid development of mobile Internettechnology, the requirement of Mobile GIS applications is continually increased. It has beenthe new development direction of Geographic Information System. In the numerous mobileoperating systems, the open nature of Android platform provides flexible display and controlfunction of GIS for developers. More and more Android Smartphone users would providegood development and use platform for design and implementation of GIS Service.The article combines GIS services and intelligent terminals, and introduces a designand implementation program of Mobile GIS system based on Android platform. Take theeast campus of Jiangsu Science and Technology University as an example, considering thetedious registration process and complex campus environment, the text put forward a newstudents’ registration service system based on the digitalization, informatization andintelligent. The whole system is divided into two subsystems, respectively are campus mapservice system and new students registration guidance system.The registration servicesystem is also based on Android platform and Mobile GIS. Specific research work has beensummarized as follows:(1) The campus map service system would finish the vector quantization of campusgeographic information with ArcGIS software, and a small GIS system is formed. It wouldshow a panoramic view of the campus landscape and describe the distribution of buildings,roads, sports grounds and other facilities. The system adopts the Geodatabase data model torealize the unified storage and management of geographical data. And it releases campusmap finished drawing into dynamic one with ArcGIS Server Manage, then completes startupand management for the dynamic map by ArcGIS Server as the server.(2) Taking Eclipse and Android SDK as the development environments, the Mobileterminal develops the terminal system(new students registration guidance system) of newstudents’ registration service combined with ArcGIS API for Android plug-ins. Interactionwith server-side data would be completed through wireless communication network whilethe dynamic map taken as the system map background. And it designs the system functionwith Android development technology. The system has applied Database, GPS, DataAnalysis and other related technologies. The function concludes facility location guidance,road guidance, self-positioning, college information query, etc.(3) The road guidance function involves the solution of the shortest path problem. Thearticle proposes two algorithm research of this problem. One is the Dijkstra algorithm. The first N most short-path has been obtained with the improvement of the Dijkstra algorithm,and the shortest and sub-optimal shortest path been shown according to the systemrequirement. The other one is Artificial fish algorithm. On the basis of the graph theory, thearticle analyzes the Artificial fish algorithm model and improves its initialization andbehavior, then used to solve the shortest path.
