With the rapid development of science and technology, some detectingtechniques are application development. Especially the nondestructive testingtechnology is developing very rapidly, so detecting technology of nondestructive testhas been used widely in various fields. Ground penetrating radar as nondestructivetesting in a more advanced nondestructive testing technology is the significantparticularly important. It possesses many properties than other routine, for instanceresistance method, low frequency electromagnetic induction, seismic method, and soon. The properties are made up of fast detection, continuing detection, high resolution,convenient-flexible operation, low cost, wide detected range, and so forth. ThereforeGPR is paid attention by people. It is a hot point to be studied that the signalprocessing of GPR belongs to a key technique in the system of GPR from internal tooverseas.GPR used in highway tunnel lining and railway tunnel lining and the thickness ofroad and the defects of the road underground, but rarely used in roadway supports of aMine.Subject research to a metal mines roadway supports body detection for sinkingobject. The first we got sampling of17roadway supports of monomer project for thetests for using drill core, the key point of roadway supports is strength and defects ofsupports concrete to research; Then the four supports concrete strength level was clearlower than the design strength to be using ground penetrating radar for testing, and thekey point is GPR image recognition and defects of the identification. In the processwe can got the strength of roadway supports through drill core, and we can see thedefects from the general situation of roadway supports. Ground penetrating radar candetect the defects of roadway supports and rock quickly, and it can check up thelayout of the reinforced, and it can got the condition of link up with roadway supportsconcrete and surrounding rock.Through this test, the ground penetrating radar can applied the roadway supportsof mine. GPR can detection the thickness of roadway supports, and the detectionspeed. It can analyze the conclusion in the construction site. The construction site canvalidated sample through drilling core. GPR can greatly shorten the detection of time.The research conclusion is more significance to carry out GPR in roadway supports concrete of a metal mine and especially is the detection of underground concrete.
