Airborne backbone network which usually use Ad-Hoc can provide modern battlefieldwith high-speed and over-the-horizon communication support. Owing to the large scope ofthe network, the high mobility of the platform, and the communication capability and thekind of antenna of the combat unit which is prepared to access the network, manyachievements of commercial ad-hoc network is hard to use directly. In this article,a distributed airborne backbone topology generation method and a timeslot table allocation method was introduced. The simulation which statistics the average delayof the information sharing of each node by QualNet is used as the basis of assessing andpredicting the network performance. In the processing of topology generation, a node couldgenerate hierarchical topology including backbone and access subnet by exchanging localtopology information and associating with load balancing and the character conversion. Thisstructure can apply to the high mobility of the network, and has a great important place in themodern battle field. The edge coloring method in graph theory is used in time slot tableallocation method to generate a pair of undisturbed time slot table of transmitting andreceiving in physics.Simulation by QualNet showed that according to the topology generated by this method,it had a lower transmission delay in information sharing, which benefited to the high dynamicairborne network and had a certain military application prospect.
