Application Of Media Asset Management System Of Guangdong Cable HD Interactive Platform

Therefore, it’s necessary and inevitable to introduce the Media Asset Management System technology.The advantage of the Media asset management is that resources can be stored digitally so that they can be researched and used conveniently.The establishment of Media asset management systemis an important project in Guangdong digital cable interactive platform.We will greatly improve the production capacity and add more and more TV programs.Meanwhile,we can also expand the channels of the resources and improve the efficiency of digital development.All of those will do good to a greater development of Guangdong Cable digital broadcasting.The new generation of media asset management system based primarily on media assetmanagement technology is discussed in this paper,which is applied to the digital cabletelevision platform in Guangdong Province.It introduces the overallarchitecture,planning,deployment and process of the system as well as the function of thecontent management module.This paper discusses the application of the media asset management system in thebroadcasting platform for the HD interactive television in GDCATV, and also gives a briefintroduce to the application range,data acquisition,data storage,data management, datatransmission and data encoding of the system in the platform.It mainly discusses theapplication of the content management in the media asset management system,which includesthe workflow of content convergence,processing,arrangement and dissemination,the newsprogram of gathering,separating and recording management,the program management moduleof program list, fast cutting,fine cutting and cataloging,the collection management module ofcollection list and cataloging,and other modules of right management,programretrieval,download and so on.Furthermore,this paper points out the application of programmanagement in the new generation of media asset management system and the differencesbetween the new system and the old.
