Mission automatic deployment of the Internet of things refers to gain the unit attributes,with matching the constraint conditions such as intent, goals, aspirations, and get the missionto unit mapping. On the battlefield Internet of Things, this paper introduces ontologytechnology, to endow semantic connotation for the unit and mission, solve the informationsharing between the units, and form the knowledge base. According to the intention of thedecision makers, set up the semantic matching rules, through the knowledge reasoning to findthe right execution units, so as to realize the automatic deployment of combat missions.This paper studied the mission automatic deployment method of battlefield Internet ofThings based on the ontology and knowledge reasoning, and designed and implemented themission automatically deploy prototype system. The main work and contributions are shownas follows:1. Analyse domestic and foreign related research status of the mission automaticdeployment method of battlefield Internet of things and point out the current existingproblems:(1) the battlefield IoT concept is not clear, and the standard is not consistent;(2)The current deployment is lack of formal descriptions language research, and formaldescription language for battlefield IoT mission;(3) Existing the deployment methoddoesn’t realize the semantic between the transformation of the intention and scheme..2. Propose the battlefield IoT concept and composition, analyse the difference between civilIoT and battlefield IoT; clear the battlefield IoT mission deployment involved theSituation awareness, intention transformation and task assigned etc. On this basis, givethe formal representation of mission deployment, design the automaton model andvalidate the termination of the model.3. Study of ontology technology, get the OWL language lexical, grammatical rules and theontology design method, based on the concept of the mission of battlefield IoT designedthe ontology of mission of battlefield IoT; Research logic reasoning methods described,through the Pellet reasoning machine for mission ontology concept consistencyverification.4. Study the semantic web rule language, combining with the military operations knowledge design mission deployed rules, through the ontology knowledge and rules formatconversion, transfer result to Jess reasoning engine to achieve the knowledge reasoning;Design a mission automatic deployment of battlefield IoT prototype system, perform aseries of experimental cases. Experiment and result analysis shows that the ontologydescription language and rules of mission of battlefield IoT can effectively describe thebattlefield IoT mission, for giving a clear semantic knowledge to the unit, through theknowledge reasoning support for mission automatic deployment.
