MIL-STD-1553B is a centralized control and time division command/responsemultiplex Data Bus military standard. Its characteristics of high-speed, high reliabilityand real-time make it wildly used in military and civil fields. Along with the rapiddevelopment of Chinese aerospace technology,1553B data bus is mostly used tosupport communication between aerospace microprocessors and peripherals. However,the immature domestic design and the foreign arms embargo on China restrict thedevelopment of our aerospace field. Therefore, it is of great significance to study anddesign the radiation hardened1553B data bus interface.This thesis focuses on designing the radiation hardened1553B data bus interface,which connects to the areoscpace processor core via APB protocol. This thesis studiesthe MIL-STD-1553B data bus protocol and performs radiation hardened design on the1553B Data Bus interface in order to tolerate SEU (Single Event Upset) induced softerror. The main contributions in this thesis are as follow:Firstly, the MIL-STD-1553B protocol and the APB specification were analyzed.Then the overall structure, module division and the APB interface of the1553B DataBus were determined. Further more, the sub modules were designed in detail usingVHDL.Secondly, several cosmic radiation efforts were introduced. SEC-DEC Hammingcodec, writing back strategy and scrubbing mechanism were designed for the sake ofprotecting memory cells.Finally, the simulation platform was built up amd the NC simulation tool was usedto validate the design. The simulation results prove that the radiation hardened1553BData Bus design satisfies requirements.
