In recent years, with the rapid development of the hotel industry, hotels paymore and more attention to the personal and property safety of customers, userexperience and its own management, efficiency and so on. The hotels improvethe quality of management, the quality of service and security by installingvideo surveillance systems and smart fingerprint door locks.The thesis analyzes the characteristics of surveillance system and theshortage of wireless fingerprint-lock management system, which are existingin the hotel nowadays. The thesis proposes a solution of innovativelycombining two separate systems, the network video surveillance and wirelessfingerprint-lock management. The proposed system bases on the networksurveillance technology and short-range wireless communication technology,it is consisted of four parts, the browse client on PC, the network camera,Z-Wave wireless module and fingerprint-lock.The system realizes thecommunication between network camera and wireless fingerprint-lock. Thehotel administrator can watch the video surveillance and manage the doorlockthrough the system.The main tasks are:(1) Realize the combining system of network surveillance and doorlockmanagement, based on DM368which is TI’s DaVinci network surveillancesolution, and the Z-Wave wireless communication technology.(2) Research the B/S structure of system based on DaVinci softwarearchitecture; describe the principle and workflow of HTTP-based Web server;analyze the receiving, passing and processing of the command parameteracross the multi-processes in the camera application layer; realize thecommunication function of network camera to the Z-Wave wireless modulethrough the serial port. (3) Develop the video surveillance ActiveX client of IE browse based onthe GoDB platform; Realize the real-time video surveillance playing andwireless fingerprint-lock management on the same screen.(4) Study the Z-Wave network structure, four layers network protocol andframe format. Realize network installing and data sending by developemnt ofZ-Wave communication wireless module. Design the application protocol offingerprint-lock to realize the function of setting user codes, checking records,sending fingerprint data, ect.(5) Test teach module of the system, then test the whole system to provethat the system can work normally and run stably.The solution proposed in the thesis realizes the combining of networksurveillance and wireless fingerprint-lock management.This combined systemis integrated, intelligent, multi-functional and has other advantages. What’smore, it can improve the hotel’s management, reduce operating costs andimprove economic efficiency.
