Remote monitoring system mainly refers to computer systems with dataacquisition, monitoring and control functions, which is commonly known as SCADA(supervisory control and data acquisition) systems. The system that can be easilyapplied to the field of industry, agriculture and so on relates to a wide range oftechnical computer technology, network technology and network security technology,which has the characteristics of flexibility, simple operation and high reliability. Withthe deepening of network applications and continuous expanding the scale, a seriesof network security issues were triggered and unauthorized access to networkresources, tampering and destruction of things often happen. How to ensure thesecurity of data transmission on networks has become an urgent problem.This paper introduces a data-based remote monitoring system based oncombination of RSA and AES algorithms, which not only has the advantages of fastoperation speed and lower resources consumption belonging to traditional symmetricencryption algorithm, but also has the advantages of high security features belongingto asymmetric encryption algorithm.While it also solves the key distribution problemof AES algorithm and time consumption problem of RSA algorithm. The system iscomposed of lower machine and remote server. Atmel’s ATmega128microcontrollerwas the core which acquires analog and digital input, and then send the encrypt datavia Ethernet or GPRS way to the remote server; the server decrypts the data,analyzes it then sends it via Ethernet or GPRS to slave computer, to control relayoutput and monitor the state of the whole system. Server section with kingview wasthe center, using Visual C++as the intermediary for remote data acquisition.Andthen the data collected by dynamic data exchange technology (DDE) was sent to thekingview, monitoring the whole system. Finally, we apply the system to thegreenhouse remote monitoring system. At the same time, the purpose of monitoringremote system was achieved and the network security of the system wasguaranteed.This system is suitable for application whose real-time requirement is notparticularly high but the data security requirement is high.
