As the environment of coal mine in our country was complex and special, theposition information of miners couldn’t be gotten by the monitoring timely.Especially when a disaster happened, it was difficult to search and rescue theminers. What’s more, a large proportion was caused by environmental factorsamong big coal mine accidents in our country. However, miners were passiveawareness through the current monitoring system. Therefore, based on the twocases, the paper consider the Internet of Things, combines the core of smart mineconstruction, and designs the smart positioning terminal, in order to achievereal-time positioning and get surroundings.Considering IOT application model, and compared with the exiting wirelesscommunication solution, the Wi-Fi wireless technology was chosen. Thus, thelocating methods based on Wi-Fi were introduced and positioning method based onRSSI was chosen. The smart positioning system architecture was designed. Thehardware design and software process were designed.The transmission of wireless signal in coal tunnel was analyzed whichprovided a direction for the positioning algorithm research. In order to achieve thewhole coverage positioning function, based on the fingerprint positioning algorithm,the whole coverage localization algorithm was studied. In the establishment offingerprint data base, the Gaussian model method was used to modify the samplingdata for the volatility of wireless signal. The classic K neighboring matchingalgorithm was used in real-time positioning stage. What’s more, the correctionalgorithm based on time was used to improve the accuracy of positioning accordingto the practical application. The blind zone positioning algorithm was proposed.The blind zone was divided into Half Blind Zone and Real Blind Zone. Linearinterpolation prediction algorithm was proposed to locate in HBZ, at the same time,the prediction model based on historical movements was proposed to locate in RBZ.The experiments show that the maximum position error is8.7meters in blind area.
