Nowadays in our country's resource structure, coal is a major component and coal plays an important part in our modern society. During the course of coal mine's manufacturing, along with mining, the gas often gush out from the coal seam. As the gas's consistency reaches a specified proportion, the gas will burn up even explode, cause the happening of accident. Some coal mines in our country lack of precise calculation, so bring about the accidents take place frequently. Therefore, monitor the dynamic state and control the consistency of the coal mine's gas, research the regular pattern of the gas's emergence and prevent the disaster of the gas are all important tasks of the coal mines security.At present, gas monitor system of coal mine is mainly composed by underground workstation, ground center-station, different kinds of sensors and other devices. As the main equipment, ground center-station is used to detect the situation of the gas and monitor the parameters and the working status of devices during the course of manufacturing. Due to the limitations of software and hardware on center-station, center-station is more suitable for comprehensive monitor and control. Coal mine needs new type monitor terminal that has the characteristics of real-time, anti-interference, low consumed energy and the ability to adapt bad environment. Fix the monitor terminal in pithead even underground and using it cooperate with the center-station, they work together to guarantee the safety manufacturing of the coal mine.Under such technical application background, my thesis designed a new type embedded graphic monitor terminal that based on real-time operation system. This terminal adopt embedded real-time operation system μC/OS- II and embedded Graphic User Interface μC/GUI as software platform, using 32 bit ARM core processor S3C44B0X which is low consumed energy and high reliability as controlling chip, using ucdragon company's FS44B0XI board as hardware platform. This paper began with the theory of embedded technology, and then analyzed the model for embedded system designing and the choosing tactics of the software and hardware platform, with emphasis on discussing the realization of graphic monitor terminal plan and the graphic interface that based on μC/OS-II and μC/GUI, this paper also described in detail the realization of the coal minemonitor terminal. In the chapter of sum-up, the paper mainly discussed the problems, characteristics of the terminal, later work and directions and also did some ponder and summary.
