With the rapid development and wide use of wireless communication technology, videocompression technology, computer technology and embedded technology, video monitoringsystem emerges as the times require. At the present stage, our country attaches greatimportance to the environmental safety of airports and other public places. Although thedevelopment of modern monitoring technology provides a more effective technical guaranteefor airport security, the characteristics of traditional video monitoring system, including highcosts of its maintenance and profoundly difficult wiring, make it difficult to extend applicationconveniently according to the requirement of safety. As mobile Internet technology developsrapidly, wireless monitoring system terminal can offer a powerful complement andextended application for the old airport security monitoring system, through the combinationof Web technology and WiFi, and embedded technology.In this paper, wireless monitoring system based on Web terminal consists of videomonitoring acquisition transmitter and application server. The author first designs andimplements video monitoring collection and transmission. In terms of hardware design, ARMS3C2440platform structure is adopted to drive USB camera for video acquisition, and theLinux V4L2programing interface for image acquisition and h.264video compressionalgorithm for video information. Then we drive WiFi wireless card and install androidenvironment for ARM where cross-platform Java language can be used to design andaccomplish transmission of video data.To verify the availability and effectiveness of collection sites, we simply design avideo service system on the server side by adopting the popular B/S framework and using theMVC design ideas, which involves series of functions, such as the video data reception, videodata real-time playback, historical video data viewing and detailed video-related informationviewing, etc. Finally we carry on the system test, which shows to be normal. And obviously ithas reached the requirement of subject.
