In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, the city construction and deepeningurbanization, the elevator amount grows rapidly. As a kind of special equipment directlyrelated to people’s life safety, the safety of elevators draws more and more attention. It ismainly guaranteed by regular inspection and maintenance. At present, the contradictionbetween rapid growth of elevators and the shortage of maintenance personnel are becomingmore and more prominent. How to monitor the elevator fault and take effective measures todeal with has becoming the concerned topic for elevator supervision departments andmaintenance units. Some cities’ application indicates that: the elevator running statusmonitoring device is advantageous to improve the safe operation of the elevator, especiallyplaying a positive role in improving the speed of elevator rescue in the event of an emergency.The main work includes the followings: First, analysis the problems existing in regulatorymodel of elevator safety and its development trend. The elevator safety monitoringtechnology at home and abroad is analysis. The research conclusion has an important guidingvalue to solve the existing safety monitoring technology and elevator operation mode ofregulation problems. Study on the method of monitoring the state of elevator based on currentsignal and related theory, introduces the current signal of the non contact type elevatorrunning status monitoring method. Monitoring the operation state of elevator main circuitbased on current signal. Research helps to active monitoring the running state of the elevator.The development of terminal for monitoring the state of elevator based on the current. Afteranalyzing the terminal demand, advanced sensor technology, GPRS communication and highperformance DSP technology are adopted to the development of elevator state monitoringterminal based on current signal, in order to achieve real-time monitoring of the operationstate of elevator. It lays the foundation for the prediction diagnosis, control and managementdecision making in elevator safety monitoring. The terminal hardware platform is calibrated.Combined with the remote monitoring platform, remote monitoring system for the statemonitoring of the lift was studied. Experiments show that, the terminal can realize thereal-time monitoring of the elevator operation state. When the elevator failure, alarminformation is send timely.
