Radome is as an important part of radar system, it plays an increasingly important role in the inmodern communication. This thesis has worked in numerical ayalysis of modeling and simulation oncomplex radome structures, and has studied deeply the calculation of aperture field and optimizationdesign for broadband antenna radome. The main innovation points and work are as follows:(1) The traditional equivalent transmission line theory has deived, which is applied to analyze theperformance of radomes with thin wall and multilayer structures. A software is also developed tocalculate the electromagnetic performance of the plate radome;(2) The physical optics theory basded on the equivalent transmission line theory has investigated indetail. The correctness of the program is then verified through numerical examples, on the basisof the theory;(3) For the complex structure of radome, it has combined successfully the grid modeling system withcomplex structure and the physical optics method, which can solve the problem of meshdissection of the modeling of the radome. The equivalent source has been obtained by caculatingnear-field of antenna surface using FEKO, which realizes the whole process of modeling andsimulation of the arbitrary antenna radome integration system. The maneuverability of the methodis good and it is easy to implement;(4) The software based on the genetic algorithm has developed for electrical parameters of themedium, e.g. relative dielectric constant and loss tangent, cover thickness of the wall structure,and the size of the antenna mouth, etc., which influence the radome. Based on this method, theoptimazeional design of the wall structure for the broadband radome and dual-band radome isthen successfully conducted, by deducing the fitness function with the appropriate ranges offrequency and incidence angle.
