Aiming at the engineering application problem of radome and frequency selective surface(FSS)radome,the thesis based on the equivalent transmission line theory,the electrical performance characteristics of sandwich plate and curved radome are analyzed and studied by physical optics method(POM).A fast automatic modeling method for creating C-FSS based on HFSS-Matlab is proposed.Moreover,a simulation test method is proposed to calculate the scattering coefficients of FSS structures with finite surfaces.The above analysis of results provides theoretical guidance for the subsequent research and design of C-FSS with different unit structure types.The primary aim of this thesis consists of the following parts:(1)Electrical performance calculation of flat radome and curved radomeFirstly,the calculation method of the electric performance based on flat radome is studied.The influence factors of the transmittance of the flat radome and the design method of the optimum transmittance structure radome are analyzed by using the equivalent flat theory.In addition,principle and detailed steps of physical optics method is introduced to analyze complex curved radomes.(2)Research on electrical performance and testing method of complex antenna array-radomeThe electrical performance and testing methods of the array-radome system are deeply studied.Based on a different type of array antenna-lateral radome system,the electrical performance(phase inconsistency and transmittance)of the system is simulated and analyzed by the physical optics method(PoM),and tested in the microwave anechoic chamber.(3)An automatic modeling method for C-FSS is proposedA fast automatic modeling method for creating C-FSS based on HFSS-Matlab is proposed.Moreover,a simulation test method is proposed to calculate the scattering coefficients of FSS structures with finite surfaces.The modeling software of C-FSS radome is developed with GUI for user.(4)Research on electrical performance and RCS characteristics of C-FSS radomeAfter the optimization of A-layer radome,the band-pass and band-stop FSS cell structures are designed.Using the preceding part of text to analyze the the frequency selective characteristics of CFSS.Finally,the influence of polarization mode,curvature,arrangement of FSS element and location on the transmission performance of C-FSS and the variation of radar cross section area(RCS)under different curvatures have been studied by choosing cylindrical A-sandwich radome.
