With the wide application of the high power microwave weapons, the requirement of broadbandhigh power antenna is more and more urgent. As a result, high power antenna becomes one ofresearch hot spot gradually. Broadband high power source antenna has a broad prospect in the field ofcommunications, radar, military and computer and so on. On the demand listed, bandwidth expansiontechnology and power capacity expansion technology of broadband high power antenna are optimizedin this paper. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, Based on the original flat structure, the Vivaldi antenna which is converted into differentsurface structure and added fence to the edge is designed in this paper. The current is focused on thegradient near the tank. Whether fence or gradient radiation has the feature of end-fire. The lowfrequency bandwidth can be extended by fence and gradient radiation. Ultra wide band is realized atlast. Under the effect of dielectric isolation, the compression feature is improved by different surfacestructure.Secondly, the Vlasov antenna is designed for higher power in this paper. A single unit and arrayforms are studied respectively. Different parameters are analyzed and optimized. The influence ofvarious parameters on the performance is discussed. On the basis of wide band, the power capacity isanalyzed. Field distribution under different input power is compared in this paper.The power capacitylevel has reached the GW.Finally, the miniaturization technologies including trapezoidal structure, folding and short circuitand technical measures is used to meet different engineering requirements. As the problem of thebandwidth is solved in this paper, volume is paid attention at the same time. Also like coaxial feed ofVlasov antenna, the breakdown field strength of medium in the coaxial waveguide is used in foldedantenna. Transmission power capacity is reached. According to different input voltage, different fielddistribution is studied and analyzed.
