With the rapid progress of wireless communication technology, broad-band communication systems with high technical qualities are needed with the increase of the users and requirements of the broad band communications. As the key components of the system, broad-band power amplifiers become the hotspot of the component suppliers, research institute and universities all over the world.First, we introduce the theory of amplifier, analyze the key issues and technical problems, compare the current literature describes the design of broadband power amplifiers.Then according to the technical specifications of broadband power amplifier we proposed using the small signal approach, load pull and real frequency method and validated it to be feasibility through simulation of EDA software.The paper details the whole process of debugging and testing and. The debugging is also an important part, especially more specifications for debugging, more difficult to realize. A microwave PA has been developed with the band from 800MHz to 2700MHz which cover major band of 3G communication. 10W saturated output power ,up to 20W at some band ,39dB linear gain with flatness of±l.5dB have been achieved .The PA has a wide band, high power output and good temperature property。...
