| The widespread use of new media, including internet, has provided the publicwith a convenient channel. Internet public opinion has become an important factor toinfluence government decision-making and image.The paper took Chongqing local news portal-CQNEWS as the research subject,combining sociology and political science, public opinion from the network features,functions and problems to analyze the current situation and the need for networkmanagement of public opinion.The paper paid attention to the position, effect, advantages and current situation oflocal news sites in online monitoring and guiding public opinion and pointed out thedisadvantages of the local in the comparison with those at the central level.The paper, taking theory as the entry point, put forward that the local news sites,under the background of “big data” and new media pattern, are able to take the localadvantages and media transition to play the same leading role as those at the centrallevel in online public opinion management. |
