Water lubricated rubber alloy bearing is widely used in the areas of ship industry,national defense industry and so on for its good lubricating property andenvironment-friendly property compared with the traditional oil lubricated bearing.Currently, there are no relevant reports about the appliance to the study of waterlubricated bearing of database technology. But in the actual study of water lubricatedbearing, it is in desperate need of a database system with high performance and highreliability to achieve the efficient use and sharing of all kinds of useful information.Firstly, the fundamental database system for water lubricated rubber alloy bearingwas analyzed in this paper to determine its functional and performance requirementsand to judge the feasibility of the system development. Secondly, the specific design ofthe system was carried out to identify its main contents including the system’sarchitecture, the division of the functional modules, the design of the system’sconceptual structure, the design of the database’s logical structure and so on. Lastly, therealization of the five functional modules was completed. Then, the author tested thesystem and gave the typical testing cases. The testing results show that the system withexcellent robustness operates well and is able to meet the requirements.
