The Research On The Diversification Of Commenters In Domestic TV News Commentary Programs

As a kind of TV news programs, the TV news commentary program is playingirreplaceable roles in the history of TV news programs. Particularly we began implementingthe reform and opening-up policy in1978, there were more and more social problems andsocial contradictions for the development of free market economy and the changes of socialvalues among the public. To a large extent, the TV news commentary program played anactive role in guiding the public opinions. The messages they sent to some extant could easethe social conflicts at that time. However, with the developing society, the traditional mediaenvironment has a lot of differences. In the meantime, as the flourishing new media and thedifferentiation of the audiences, these factors both pushed the orientation of the TV newscommentary program to change from the “mouthpiece”of the government to “Acousticgenerator”of the diversified opinions among the public. As an important factor of the TVnews commentary program, the commentators are playing very important roles. The level ofthe commenters generally decide the quality of the TV news commentary program.TV news commenters are the research objects of this paper, I summarizes differentcharacteristics and changes during different period including the initial stage、 developmentalstage and innovative stage of the TV news commentary program. In this paper, I choseIndepth Observation of Jiangxi province as a case study and utilize the Discourse Theory andBourdieu’s Discourse Field Theory to analyze this TV news commentary program. I givepriority to the commenters as the main research emphasis in this program, and analyzecommenters’ ways of presentation, characteristics and meanings. Through analyzing this TVnews commentary program which is widely popularized among professionals and audiences,especially the study of the commenters in this program provides some feasible ideas for thefurther development of the TV news commentary programs.There are two parts in this paper, the introduction and the main body. The introductionincludes research backgrounds and the related academic research conditions as well as theresearch contents. Speaking of the main body, it comprehensively references the knowledge of linguistics,journalism and communication. Moreover, it takes the TV news commentary programIndepth Observation as a case study. Through analyzing the diversified commenters in thisprogram, we can have a brief look of the TV news commentary program history. The lastpoint, according to the trend of the diversified commenters in TV news commentary program,we can offer some proposal suggestions for further development of the TV news commentaryprograms.
