Vehicle Dynamic Weighing Calibration System

In recent years, malignant traffic accidents have been constantly taking placebecause of the destruction of the highway pavement brought by the Overload freighttrucks.And so the traffic department cost a great deal in the ongoing pavementmaintenance. Furthermore, many of the recent bridge collapse accidents are inrelation to the the Overload freight trucks. In the meantime, the truckweight-calculating charge is being carried out presently step by step in thesuperhighway, grade-I and grade-Ⅱ highway. After toll-by-weight and the overloadcontrol, great many of the truck drivers have focused their attention on the accuracyof the weight-calculating equipments.The vehicle dynamic weighing calibration system referred to in this article usethe recent handy lap-top as the central control unit, connected with the movingVehicle Weighing legacy system, while the communication interface is the provenCOM serial port, and the communication protocol is RS232. The demarcationsoftware is designed by C builder and the database by Microsoft Office Access. Thesoftware design includes such functions as static calibration, dynamic calibration,static weighing, dynamic weighing, hardware and communication check, etc.In the experiment of the vehicle weighing demarcation system, we use thevarious legacy standard weights and the weight bridge test car to demarcate theweighing system. We also systematically test the vehicle weighing demarcationsystem in accordance with the State JJG907-2006Verification Regulation ofDynamic Highway Vehicle Automatic Weighing Instrument. The experimental resultsare satisfyingly in accord with the State Verification Regulation.Therefore the design has great significance in improving the accuracy of vehicledynamic weighing system. It helps to reduce the drivers’doubts about the accuracy ofthe weighing equipments and also provides convenient demarcation program to everyof the quality monitoring system testing workers. Carrying out the scientificweight-calculating charge and overload control will reflect the spirit of theconstruction of harmonious society.
