For many years, a widespread phenomenon of overload exists in vehicles traveling on our country’s highways. In some places, both trucks and buses have varying degrees of overload behavior, which will bring great harm to the normal transportation market, safe driving and automobile production and sales. Nowadays, China’s management of automobile overload is mainly set up checkpoints on the road, checking and weighing passing vehicles, so the quality of weighing equipment becomes the key. At present, the weighing devices are mainly car wheel weighing instrument, automobile axle load meter and electronic loadometer.Automobile weighing apparatus selling in current market generally exists such defects as high price, large volume, inconvenient installation, low efficiency and inaccurate dynamic weighing. This task will design a simple vehicle load measuring device, which can achieve two kinds of static and dynamic measurement, effectively controlling the current motor overload.A kind of automobile weighing apparatus is designed in the subject using capacitance sensor, microprocessor and wireless communication chip. The device collects data with a capacitance sensor, passing it to the microcontroller by the A/D conversion. The driver can directly observe through the display module, can also use the wireless transceiver chip nRF401for wireless data transmission. Traffic inspection personnel can obtain vehicle real time load information through the handheld device, easily determine whether the vehicle is overloaded, improving work efficiency, so that it can more effectively manage overload behavior. This topic introduced the weighing of each part of the system hardware and software design from the following aspects as the load information collecting and processing, data conversion, single-chip control, wireless communication, and the PC serial communication and information display.
