The deadweight of engineering transport vehicles are commonly controlled by adopting the method of platform weighting apparatus. But so far this method is not widely adopted due to the cost and construction conditions and the overloading of vehicles are not effectively controlled in the actual project. The overloaded vehicles cause significant damage on city roads. An effective way to prevent the overload is handling the weight of carriers. The topic posted a method by putting the strain gauge on cantilever of excavator and collecting the weight value of loading goods each time. By the control of cumulative weight, we can ensure that the loading weight is in accord with the deadweight and overloading can be avoided. Therefore, the design and research of overload alarm system has great practical value. The core of this article is the design of AT89S52 based on strain gauge sensor and weight detection circuit. After the A/D conversion of the detected pressure signal, the data is analyzed and processed by the single chip system, then the detected value of the cumulative weight is compared with the given value to give alarm indication, thus can provide reference for the load operation.
