In the industrial production, it is frequent to mix some kinds of raw materials according to the certain proportions, which named ingredients. It was common to use the artificial ingredients before. Workers should put all types of raw materials on the weighing scales, and then take them into blender for mixing. Therefore, the weight of each type of raw materials with predetermined ratio depended on the skills and responsibilities of workers to a large extent. This early artificial ingredient apparently has the shortcomings in low efficiency and precision. These years, with rapid developments of industry, it is in urgent need of automatically ingredients weighing system. This paper describes the design of an automated batching and weighing system. The management, coordination and control center of system consists of host computer, data acquisition and digital I/O system. Transform circuits of sensors, driving circuits of motors and current-to-voltage conversion circuits make up of peripheral circuits of system. The host computer acquires the flow speeds in real time to adjust the rotary angle of the motor for the purpose of controlling the flow of materials. In addition, host computer coordinates automated production process, executes sequential control according to the procedure scheduled, indicates the production process and processing parameters, as well as identifies and handles anomalies. Data acquisition and digital I/O system not only acquires the weights and transfers them to the computer, but also controls the motors by outputting the digital I/O signals as control sequences. In the process of ingredient and dynamic weighing, this article has used the theory of loss-in-weight to control the flow speeds, so as to increases ingredients precisions and efficiencies. The application of weight-loss theory can counteract the errors such as that caused by impact force in the dynamic quota weighing process. Therefore, it is a better dynamic weighing solution with higher measurement precision.
