The Digital Audio Workstation System Of Radio

Along with the development of the digital audio technology and the computer technology, the new equipment -Digital Audio Workstation (DAW)—which combining the two together appeared. In the driven of the computer network technology and storage technology, it gradually developed into a digital audio workstation system, which established on the computer network and used the digital audio technology as the foundation. It is mainly used in the programs create, edit and broadcast system of the radio and television, especially widely used in radio. It is an important part of the digital broadcast radio system. It made the programming broadcast system to record, store, share, manage, and reliable automated broadcast in high quality, it also created better working environment which relieve the working intensity. It brought the revolutionary transformation in the recording, editing, broadcasting, storing of the radio programs, which is the only way for digital broadcasting.This paper studied the digital audio workstation system in systematically. First, answered what is digital audio workstation system comprehensively, including the concept, characteristics, classification, composition and working process of the digital audio workstation system. And analyzed the function, composition and characteristics of various site of the system, as well as system management functions in detailed. Second, discussed the main technical of the digital audio workstation system, such as the digital audio technology, computer network technology, data storage technology, disk redundancy RAID technology, database technology, computer cluster technology and automation broadcast technology, analyzed the application characteristics of all above technologies.Third, proposed the requirement analysis of the construction of digital audio workstation system, and studied how to design a digital audio workstation system, answered the problems needing attention and the solving methods in the design process.Finally, completed the digital audio workstation system, through validation of the actual use of many years, and met the requirements of pre-designed, which has the very good guidance and reference in the construction of digital audio workstation system in radio.
