Since 2012,China University of Petroleum has selected the best students from the freshmen to set up science experimental class for the cultivation of innovative talents. This dissertation is targeted at students’ interpersonal relationship condition and interpersonal skills condition in the science experimental class,so as to provide the necessary reference for the reforming and perferctng of China University of Petroleum’s innovative talents training mode. This research takes 94 students of science experimental class as the object of studay and takes 116 students of regulat science class as the control.The research analyzes the science experimental class students’ interpersonal relationship condition and interpersonal skills condition, and investigates the relationships of science class students’ interpersonal relationship problems and interpersonal skills by using the “interpersonal comprehensive diagnostic scale ”and “interpersonal skills questionnaire”.The results suggested:The total detection rate of interpersonal relationship problems of the science experimental class students is higher than that of the regular science class students.There are outstanding problems in two dimensions—communication with friends and communication with the opposite sex.There is quite significant difference in the dimension of communication with the opposite sex between science experimental class students and regular science class students.There is no significant difference in other dimensions and interpersonal relationship problems.The interpersonal relationship of science experimental class students has quite significant difference in gender.The interpersonal relationship condition of female students is better male students’.There is significant difference in source. The interpersonal relationship condition of the students from cities and towns is better that of the students from country.There is no significant difference in whether the one-child,family enconomic conditions and whether as a student cadre.Based on standard norm, science experimental classes students’ interpersonal skills lower than students in regular science class, especially in dimensions of self-disclosure dimension and emotional support.There is no significant difference in interpersonal skills and all dimensions between science experimental class students and regular science class students. The interpersonal skills of science experimental class students has no significance difference in gender,source,whether the one-child,family enconomic conditions and whether as a student cadre.Whether exist interpersonal relationship problems has quite significant difference in the interpersonal skills.There is low degree of negative correlation between most of interpersonal relationship problems and interpersonal skills.Interpersonal skills can predict interpersonal relationship problems.On the basis of research results,the article optimizing the interpersonal relationship of science experimental class students, respectively integrating the multiple intelligence theory into the education concept of the science experimental classes, integrating the interpersonal skills into the selection criteria and improving the way of selection, intergrating the interpersonal skills into the training goal, using the experience of CDIO based on the project developing interpersonal skills.
