| With the rapid development of the cities, the increasingly occurrence of the phenomenon of population flowing, and the approach of the aging society, the total amount of “Elderly immigrants†is growing. They may leave their homelands, come to a foreign land, and then their living habits, interpersonal relationship and other relevant aspects will undertake changes. Social adaptation is a process that they must go through, but some situations show that, their lives in foreign land are not as smooth as we though, It’s difficult for them to adapt to new lives in foreign land. They have some psychological problems such as loneliness, helplessness etc, which affect their lives in foreign land. Society should pay attention to and take good care of them, the social worker should use professional methods to help them to enhance their own sense of belonging and happiness in new cities and communities, and they will no longer feel strange and alienation about the foreign land life.This thesis focuses on the issues of the foreign land inadaptation of the “Elderly immigrantsâ€. According to professional concept of social work, I utilizing the theories such as Social Learning Theory and Group Dynamics Theory, adopt the method of Group Work, using the group members’ psychological inadaptation of the life in foreign land which was considered as the key, designing and implementing six group activities. And all these above relieve the psychological inadaptation of the team members gradually.Based on the evaluation and summary of the group work, the author affirmed the effectiveness of group work in solving the psychological inadaptation of the team members. The group work is targeted, comprehensive, participative and efficient, and the author try to help the “Elderly immigrants†solves their inadaptation in foreign land, help them to relieve the negative emotions reasonably, enhance their own ability through the supporting group of the foreign land inadaptation of the “Elderly immigrant†group. And this could provide some references to solve the inadaptation in foreign land of the “Elderly immigrantsâ€. |
