In the information explosion and the advanced technology era, the community has an increasing demand on people, which also makes our education carry out a series of reforms. Long-term plan of education reform and development program in China clearly calls attention to students’ problem-solving ability. Improving scientific literacy of all students is set as the curriculum goals by new standard of physics course in high school. Therefore, improving students’ problem-solving ability and scientific literacy is a key task of middle school physics teaching.Scientific Literacy represents the students to understand the extent of scientific knowledge, scientific methods and scientific research. Physics is a basic science course, and deal with physical exercises is the use of physical knowledge(scientific knowledge) and scientific methods to analyze physical phenomena or physical problems in the process(the process of scientific research), the ability to view the physical exercises is to evaluate students’ scientific an important indicator of the level of literacy. Recitation in physics teaching, for students scientific literacy and problem solving skills are not ignored. Middle school stages up to the entire teaching exercise frequency period, this time on how to use the students’ scientific literacy and problem-solving skills were cultured, is one of the problems in high school physics teaching needs to focus on resolving. Firstly, by observing, thinking about and referring to literature, realistic background, researching significance and present conditions of are summarized by way of deduction. Deduction in physics teaching exercises definitely plays a positive role in enhancing students’ scientific literacy, deepening reform of curriculum and guiding daily teaching of teachers. Discover has been made that there are a few research in physics, most of which is limited in the discussion on theory, no practice. Secondly, related concepts are defined in this dissertation, and the theoretical basis of physics teaching exercises has been analyzed. Thirdly, the present application of deduction in physics class in high school has got known by way of questionnaire survey. Most physics teachers believe that deduction contributes to students’ ability of dealing with problems and the ability of applying logic. Even though deduction is usually adopted in class, they don’t conclude the effective strategy for teaching and let alone related advice and skills of teaching. Fourthly, physics exercises teaching of deduction practice are carried out on the basis of literature research, theory research, and present situation research. Experimental plan of practice research is designed. There are examples to illustrate deduction applied into concepts, regulations, experiment of physics in teaching. Analysis of the teaching strategies from each kind of teaching exercise case. The influence of deduction in physics exercises teaching to students’ ability of solving physics problems and ability of logic thinking are explored. Finally, according to tone semester’s teaching practice experiment of the writer, the main step of conducting deduction in physics exercises teaching of high school is concluded and related principles of teaching is elaborated. Fifthly, summary and thoughts has been make about this research and more scholars are wanted to participate in the application of deduction in the physics teaching so that the progress of educational reform and the development of physics teaching are moved forward.
