The cultivation of the students' abilities of induction and deduction is a long-term and hard task for every physics teacher. More and more teachers and experts attach importance to its importance and urgency. Combining the characteristics of the mental abilities and the students' characteristics of technical secondary school, this thesis focus on the elementary study on the cultivation of the student's abilities of induction and deduction.The thesis is made up of seven parts. Part I explains the background of the study. Part II introduces the theoretic and practical meanings of the study. Part III introduces the current situations on the study on the ability of inference, defines the conceptions correlated with this and puts forward the emphasis of the study. Part IV discusses the theoretic basis of the thesis on education, psychology, physics and logic. Part V puts forward the teaching theory of the cultivation of the student's abilities of induction and deduction, including the element analyses, the characteristics and teach principles of the abilities of induction and deduction. Part VI is the main part of the thesis. This part focuses on the study of the practical study of the cultivation of the student's abilities of induction and deduction and including the concrete practices in every aspect in physics teaching. In this part, the result of the practice is measured, analyzed and discussed. And finally the conclusions of the study are put forward. Part VII discussed the deficiency and the things needed to further studied of the study, and put forward suggestions on physics teaching.
