The Design And Implementation Of The Mobile Virtual Learning Community Based On Connectivism

Connectivism is a learning theory for the Internet age, which well described how study happened and how knowledge is generated and propagated in the Internet age.Virtual Learning Community is an online community which contains learning attributes, which has been an important research topic in the field of distance education.Because of the rise of mobile internet and the popularity of mobile devices, mobile learning(M-learning) has become the important way of learning. Mobile Virtual Learning Community is based on mobile learning online community, which became a hot topic in the field of education in recent years.By studying and researching with Connectivism, the author designed the different functional modules in Mobile Virtual Learning Community using the core ideas of Connectivism. As well as a combination of Informal Learning, Online Collaborative learning, Learning Community and Tacit Knowledge theory. The author compared and learned the advantages and disadvantages of the popular online communities, by improving the shortcomings of traditional online communities, that Mobile Virtual Learning Community design will made to further complete.The development programming language of Mobile Virtual Learning Community is Java, based MVC framework and Maven project management framework for the efficient management of the entire project, thus achieve the development of each function module. Design and implementation of Mobile Virtual Learning Community based Connectivism is a good practice, and it also provides reference for the design of online learning communities in the future.
