The 13 th Five Year Plan of Educational Informationization clearly put forward the requirement that the construction and application mode of network learning space should be innovated,in order to encourage learners to use network learning space to learn autonomously. It is obvious that how to cultivate and promote learners to make full use of network learning space for autonomous learning has become the focused areas of education technology. With the wide application of mobile learning and virtual learning community,as well as the deep integration of games and education,a new type of network learning space, which is mobile game-based learning community(MGBLC),provides learners with a new way of autonomous learning.By virtue of its characteristics of convenience, education, entertainment and interactivity,MGBLC can stimulate learning interest, maintain learning motivation and enhance learning interaction, thus promoting the application of autonomous learning strategies and improving learning efficiency. At present, there are still many problems in the majority of mobile learning communities. For example, the users of such communities are not clear, learners are not attracted or learning conveniently,as well as they cannot concentrate on learning. The advantages of game-based learning are not reflected.Combined with the new concepts and technologies of mobile learning,game-based learning and virtual learning community, this study attempts to develop a mobile game-based learning community that is suitable for junior high school students, test its application effect and consummate function in practice.Firstly, the development background, current situation and development trend of mobile learning, virtual learning community and game-based learning were expounded in this paper. This paper defined the core concept of MGBLC and clarified its connotation and characteristics. The flow theory, social cognitive theory, hierarchy of needs theory and other theories were used to be the theoretical foundation of this research.Secondly, the learning object, learning needs, design elements, development goals and application process were analyzed.Overall design and module design(including system module, learning module, interaction module, entertainment module and background management module)and application process design were carried out for the learning community. The learning community was realized with the Unity 3D platform and SQL database, and the community prototype development was completed.Thirdly, the application of autonomous learning was studied based on the prototype of MGBLC.In the application research, the quasi-experimental research approach was adopted to explore the learners' autonomous learning of some contents of the mathematical "primary function".Through the analysis of the quasi-experimental research data, combined with the questionnaire survey and the interview content, the application effect of MGBLC was verified, and the preliminary research conclusions were drawn. The conclusions show that MGBLC can stimulate learners' learning interest and enhance their learning motivation. It can strengthen the interaction between learners and promote the flow of knowledge and emotion. It can cultivate learners' awareness of competition and cooperation, and exercise their multiple abilities. It can also create a good learning situation for learners, provide a variety of learning strategies to optimize the learning effect. In addition, there is still a large space for the improvement of MGBLC,such as optimizing the community functions, refining the teaching design, and expanding the application methods.MGBLC provides a good learning platform for learners,a high-quality carrier for teachers to carry out diversified teaching and a reference for game-based learning research and practice.
