In 1983, the United States Harvard University psychology professor Howard Gardner proposed the theory of Multiple Intelligence in the book named Frames of Mind. He thinks that everyone has eight kinds of intelligence which are equal,interactional and independent. Howard Gardner took music intelligence as an important field to elaborate how it promoted people’s physical and mental development completely.On the theory of Multiple Intelligence, which provides scientific and reliable theoretical basis.Preschool education is the key stage of the physical and mental development of children. Within the infant education, music education is indispensable for the growth of young children. Music education developed children’s musical ability, at the same time, it also promoted other abilities in many aspects. Such as promoting the language expression ability, perception ability, innovation ability, memory ability, interpersonal skills and cooperation ability.Human intelligence is diversified that is also proposed in On the theory of Multiple Intelligence.The text is based on the characteristics of students and music education in preschool. On the scientific basis of the theory of Multiple Intelligence, to build music teaching philosophy pertinently, to choose music teaching methods reasonably, to explore how to develop children’s various abilities through music teaching and talk about how to use the theory of Multiple Intelligence in teaching practice.This thesis includes four chapters: The first chapter is the connotation of the theory of multiple intelligence, and mainly introduces the main content and the origin of the theory; The second chapter is about the function of the theory to preschool music teaching;the third chapter is how to apply the theory in preschool music teaching; the fourth cha pter shows some preschool music teaching plans with the perspective of the theory and some teaching activities, based on the theory, the characteristics of children and prescho ol music education to design reasonably.
