A Survey On Chinese Language Teaching Conditions Of Secondary School In Loei Province, Thailand

Nowaday Chinese teaching in Thailand has developed rapidly and made a great progress. Whereas the Educational Rules and Regulations of Thailand emphasis the separation of power, virtually all province and schools in Thailand develop their Chinese teaching autonomously. As for the development of Chinese teaching, different province and schools share many similarities with others,in the meanwhile, they also obtain their own characteristics. So doing some surveys and researches of the situation of Chinese teaching in different schools and areas plays a very important role in promoting the healthy development of Chinese teaching all around Thailand.The essay provides comprehension situations of Chinese teaching in Secondary school in Loei (the northeast province of Thailand) Thailand, through various survey research methods such as visits, looking for informations, launch surveys, interviews and observations. It bases on the survey on current situations of Chinese teaching in Secondary school of the whole Loei province, and regards the Loeipittayakom school which is a representative sample as the main research object. It also finds out the major problems existed in Chinese teaching of this Secondary school after finishing the deep survey on current situation of Chinese teaching of this Secondary school and makes some recommendations. The results showed that the students have less motivation in class, Teacher lack of teaching experiences, Learning periods are not enough,too many student in class, lack of teaching technique, Teaching materials’s problem, Chinese language teaching curriculum is not appropriate. In the last chapter, some useful suggestions and references are provided for the improvement of teaching Chinese at Secondary schools level in Loei province Thailand.
