Mountains are famous for the immortals,and water are clear for the dragons. A city is great with mountains and water, in addition to the rich cultural heritage and charming figure, the city has the soul. Jinan is an enduring city that has experienced thousands of years and passed down through generations, its long history created a rich historical and cultural resources. Under the new curriculum concept, it seems more important to apply the local historical and cultural resources in the history teaching of high school. The Application of historical and cultural resources in high school history teaching mainly contains the two ways: classroom teaching and extra-curricular activities. We should follow the scientific principles to use it. There are still many problems in the application process, we should take the appropriate measures to overcome these difficulties so that the historical and cultural resources will be fully applied in the history teaching of high school, it not only stimulates students’ interest of learning, increases the sense of national identity and patriotism, and helps teachers to achieve teaching three-dimensional object.This paper is divided into introduction, main text and conclusion.The text is divided into three chapters, respectively discussing the historical and cultural resources of Jinan, its application in the high school history teaching, and existing problems and measures.According to the high school history textbooks of Yuelu version, from these three aspects of historical celebrities, historical sites and historical anecdotes, the first chapter introduces the general situation of the historical and cultural resources in Jinan area.According to the reality, the second chapter discusses the specific application mode and application principle of historical and cultural resources in practical teaching history. Application mode includes in-class application methods, such as the statement in classroom teaching, the project learning activities, comprehensive inquiry-based learning, the establishment of local courses, the use of the modern multimedia auxiliary teaching, the change of the concept of homework assignments and so on. It also contains extracurricular application way, such as visiting historical sites, holding historical and cultural knowledge contests, historical stories, organizing picture exhibition, reading extracurricular books, and so on. However, no matter what way, it should be beneficial to students’ learning, we should follow the historical and cultural application principle, such as building on the basis of the curriculum standard, applying scientifically and reasonably, pay attention to the authenticity of historical objectivity, handling the relationship between the local history and teaching materials, teachers and students develop historical and cultural resources together.The third chapter discusses the problems in the application of the historical and cultural resources, and puts forward the coping strategies. Problem mainly includes the four aspects: weakness of the application consciousness of teachers and insufficiency of the knowledge reserves; incomprehension and nonsupport of parents of the students; dispersion of historical and cultural resources; lack of the evaluation and incentive mechanism. Faced with many problems, this paper proposes the corresponding strategies, such as strengthening teachers application consciousness, improving their knowledge reserves; gaining positively the social support from all walks of life; constructing historical culture resource storeroom and providing teaching communication platform; improving the teaching evaluation system, and so on.The application of historical and cultural resources in the high school history teaching is helpful to adjust the classroom atmosphere, stimulate students’ interest in learning, achieve the teaching goal, strengthen the national identity and sense of responsibility. It also can promote the teachers to change single teaching methods, eventually spreading home culture. I do hope my research topic can attract people to attach importance to the historical and cultural resources, and make a little contribution for the protection of historical and cultural resources.
