Currently, traditional culture catches more and more attention of the whole society, teaching reading Chinese classics in high school is very important to pass down Chinese traditional culture, its teaching methods and teaching effectiveness is an important aspect worth exploring. Teaching overall Chinese classics reading avoid common teaching methods, promoting the whole idea of people, focus on "Tools", and "Humanity", putting forward the strategies of teaching reading Chinese classics, On the one hand,it can improve students’ ability to interpret Chinese, on the other hand,it can allow students to absorb the essence of traditional culture, to enrich their own culture,and to better pass down Chinese traditional culture and heritage.On the basis of literature research, questionnaires, interviews, lessons learned, case analysis and other research methods this paper makes an empirical study to summarize the overall status of the current teaching of reading classical in high schools, the reason of the lack of integrity. On the basis of empirical research,this paper proposes some suggestions for teaching reading Chinese classics from the aspects of teaching analyze the reason of arrangements, teaching mode selection and evaluation of teaching effectiveness.This paper is divided into 5 parts discussing the issues related to teaching reading Chinese classics, focusing on three aspects: First, higher requirements should be put on the effectiveness of teaching reading Chinese classics as a result of growing importance of traditional culture in contemporary society.Second, analysis the main problems currently existing in teaching Chinese classics in high school, that is obsolete teaching methods, teaching dismemberment of articles is prevalent. Third, this paper proposes implementation strategies for teaching reading Chinese understanding classics from three dimensions: First, from the arrangement of teaching content, namely, on the onehand, focus on systematic knowledge of Chinese classics, enhancing the level of interpretation of Chinese classics, on the other hand,emphasizing the overall cultural connotation cognition, infectious and cultural tradition. Secondly, from the choice of teaching methods, recommendations are proposed from three aspects, namely,to teach the whole idea of abandon the focus on knowledge and scores single article, focusing on teaching reading, training guessing overall reading, writing and reading appreciation,overall reading strategies of different stylistic; the whole unit reading to integrate the knowledge and content of the whole unit and comparison and appreciation of articles.integrating compulsory and elective teaching materials. Finally, the construction of the evaluation methods of teaching reading, that is, the only theory of knowledge and abandon only score on the overall comprehensive evaluation of teaching Chinese classics.
