Citizen education is becoming an essential content of education in our country under the background of globalization. With the further implementation of new curriculum reform, citizen education has become an important teaching target of the courses offered by the school. As one of the main courses of humanities and social sciences, history discipline carries the responsibility of citizen education in schools indispensably. What’s more, as an important part of history curriculum in senior high school, history college entrance exam should become an important channel for citizen education. This paper, which is based on the perspective of history college entrance exam, mainly studies the citizen education in new curriculum history college entrance exam from 2007 to 2014.First of all, after explaining the rising and connotation of citizen education, this paper analyzes the importance of history discipline to citizen education. For one thing, history discipline provides rich material for the development of citizen education. For another, the learning methods and ways of thinking of history are also conducive to the development and improvement of civic literacy and civic awareness. Then, this paper analyzes the value of citizen education in history college entrance exam, which is conducive to the selection of qualified and healthy talents for colleges and universities, promotes the effective implementation of citizen education in the history curriculum of senior middle school, also complies with the college entrance exam reform and promotes the further development of the new curriculum.Secondly, based on the analysis of the new curriculum history college entrance exam from 2007 to 2014, this paper explores the advantages of citizen education in the new curriculum history college entrance exam:using new materials and creating new situations, optimizing the way of question, improving the evaluation method and paying attention to the combination of history and reality. Then, this paper mainly analyzes the main contents of citizen education in the new curriculum history college entrance exam, which cover the consciousness of the rights and responsibility, the consciousness of democracy and the rule of law, the moral consciousness and the global consciousness. Analyze their way of examining at the same time.Finally, aiming at the analysis of the second part, this paper not only points out the advantages of citizen education exam questions in the new curriculum history college entrance exam, but also puts forward the deficiencies that is lack of adequate guide and the evaluation method is still single. Then, this paper puts forward the corresponding questions optimization strategy. On one hand, improve the curriculum standards and the syllabus to make the citizen education exam questions have full guidance. On another hand, popularize the new evaluation methods. At the end of this paper, in view of the citizen education in the new curriculum history college entrance exam, the author also proposes some coping strategies of senior high school history teaching, hoping to have some guidance to history teaching in senior middle school.
