Since September 2004, a new curriculum reform high school began all over our country, which advocates "the new curriculum, new ideas, and new college entrance examination". Since the founding of new China, the new curriculum reform is a relatively comprehensive and thorough elementary education curriculum reform. "Focusing on students’ development", "emphasizing teachers’ growth" and "attaching great importance to the study on teaching" are the three basic concepts. Under this concept, each discipline in middle school has been carried thoroughly. Recent years, the new curriculum reform is becoming a turning point in biology teaching for middle schools since the biological college entrance examination restored in 2001.The new curriculum reform is a new opportunity for the development of biology teaching. Under the background of new curriculum reform, what teachers should do to perform better and how students can learn better is our focus.The new curriculum reform in Chongqing which began in September 2010 is the last to start. Starting the new curriculum reform relatively late, Chongqing encountered more practical problems in the new curriculum reform, and the study based on the high school biology classroom teaching, and using the concept of new curriculum reform to analyze these problems is still in its infancy. In this context, we need to focus on high school biology classroom teaching scene, the key to the shoes. In this article, the author investigated the teachers and students of Nanhua High School. On this basis, the author analyzed the problems existing in the biology teaching of this school. Then, the author wrote several teaching cases to solve these problems. The author hopes it can provide certain reference for the majority of teachers.This article includes four parts altogether:The first part is introduction, mainly discusses the background of this study, the present situation of the study, the purpose of the study, and research significance. Introduction of other domestic provinces and cities in the high school biology classroom teaching practice, the latest progress of Chongqing will also be presented.The second part is the research content and method. This study is aimed at the biology teaching present situation investigation of Nanhua High School after the new curriculum reform in Chongqing. The main research methods are questionnaire investigation, interview investigation and literature review method, case analysis method. The questionnaire used in this study is set up for students of different grades in Nanhua High School. At the same time, the author interviewed some students. Combining with the actual situation the author proposed the interview outline for teachers. Then, the author carried on the interview survey to those biology teachers.The third part is the statistic and analysis of the results. This part is mainly about the statistics and analysis of result the questionnaire and the summary of teacher’s interview. Through the survey, the problems existing in the high school biology classroom teaching in Nanhua High School after the new curriculum reform are that despite the relative training of the new curriculum reform, but the concept of new curriculum reform is not thorough popular that teaching way transformation of teaching method is not obvious but method. the teaching goal in middle school is to take the college entrance examination, no corresponding changes such as the school curriculum, management system, laboratory hardware conditions after the new curriculum reform can impede implementation of the concept of new curriculum reform; the score in the university entrance exam is the least, school doesn’t emphasis biological teaching enough; Students’ quality is uneven and lack initiative on the biological course of study.The fourth part puts forward corresponding suggestions to the problems existing in the present situation of Nanhua High School. The author puts forward some corresponding suggestions to those problems from different angles. As high school biology teachers, what can we do to improve the above problems? The author wrote several case analysis of different teaching methods as example by using the concept of new curriculum reform, combining with her own teaching practice. And, the author hopes this can be used as reference for the vast number of teachers and students.
