Since the founding of new China, it has conducted a number of major reform of basic education in more than half a century. And each time it not only blow the fresh air into the Chinese education sector, but also brought new challenges to the professional development of millions of teachers. As the base of teachers to engaged in their educational work, the teachers' knowledge is the most important part of teachers' professional development without doubt. And pedagogical content knowledge(PCK) is the core of teacher knowledge, which is not only the important guarantee for the effective teaching, but also reflects the professionalism of teachers. In the elementary education biology curriculum reform, biology teachers' pedagogical content knowledge will certainly influence the quality of biology classroom teaching, influence the new biology curriculum advanced smoothly. To the biology teachers, how to adapt the new curriculum change and update their educational concepts and knowledge structure system, so as to meet the new curriculum culture possess biological science literacy talents has become a problem to be solved urgently.We mainly focused on the pedagogical content knowledge of high school biology teachers, and analyzed and discussed the teachers' professional development and personal growth in this research. And used the quantitative and qualitative analysis method, took the biology teachers of 17 public high school of Kaifeng, Henan Province for research objects on the "Pedagogical Content Knowledge Status", "the development of pedagogical content knowledge source investigation" by questionnaires, interviews and other research methods, which could reveal the current high school biology teachers' PCK construction problems that may exist in the process, and put forward some specific suggestions. Hoped to provide a useful reference for the current biological new curriculum change of teachers' professional development and training of pedagogical content knowledge, and enhance biological teachers self growing awareness and improve the quality of the biology teaching by then.The thesis consists of five main contents. First we have introduced the background and significance of research, reviewed the research status and the current biology teacher PCK, and presented the core concept of this paper. The PCK definition of biological teachers is biological teachers using specific teaching skills in specific teaching subjects to organize and represent the content of subject knowledge effectively according to the students' individuality characteristics. The core element is defined as: the biological knowledge of subject content, the general knowledge of biological teaching and the knowledge about students. The third chapter and the fourth chapter is the main part of the paper, on the basis of the definition of biology teacher PCK, the current situation of high school biology teachers' PCK and related knowledge sources were investigated and analyzed. In the research, we found that:(1) the vast most biology teachers of the subject knowledge can basically meet the needs of current high school biology teaching, yet there are still a few teachers is not comprehensive enough.(2) the knowledge of educational theory is weak, especially the young teachers should enhance the knowledge of educational theory.(3) in terms of teaching strategies, high school biology teachers' expression to "Inquiry Teaching", "Scenario Creating" and "Reviewing lessons before new class" organization model are better than others, and especially the "Concept Map strategy" and "STS education" should be strengthened.(4) the using of modern educational technology is fine, but the using of "Cyber source" rate is not good enough.(5) the growth of the teachers' experience is helpful to promote the knowledge about students. The main several ways of development of teachers' PCK are "teachers' own teaching experience and self reflection", "the day often exchanging with colleagues(including subject experts, education experts, and observing the biological teaching practice of others)" and "reading related professional books and documents".According to the conclusions of the research and the actual needs of the training of high school biology teachers' PCK, finally, we put forward about some suggestions on how to improve the biology teachers' PCK:(1) continuing to ramming foundation, updated knowledge structure further more, expand the depth and breadth;(2) to establish a solid education science theory ideas, and develop diversified teaching mode;(3) to strengthen the biology teaching practice and reflection of teaching, promote the development of educational wisdom;(4) to make more richful activities of the biology teaching and researching, really implement the development effect;(5) to improve the effectiveness of education and in-service professional training.
