Models and modeling have been attracted more and more attention in scientific education teaching abroad, and become a pattern for scientific education teaching over a decade. Developing the modeling teaching for high school chemistry is of great practical significance to cultivate the thinking ability, problem analysis and solving ability of students, promote the teaching reform of the middle school chemistry subject, and comprehensively promote the quality education of the middle school chemistry subject.In this paper, the research progress of modeling ideas in high school chemical teaching has been discussed, the model classification and the theoretical basis of modeling teaching also have been introduced. According to my teaching experiences, this paper enumerates the modeling ideas play an important role in teaching about structure and properties of substances, chemical reaction principle, organic chemistry(three core teaching content about high school chemical teaching).Teaching experiences show modeling teaching research is able to improve teaching results, enhance the interest of students in chemical learning and self-confidence, improve the ability of students to solve problems, and change the teaching ideas of teachers.
