| Secondary vocational education is an important part of educational system in our country, and also the important way to promote the economic development and to realize laborer employment. Along with the expansion of vocational school education and the increase of enrollment, in recent years, vocational school graduates show the increasing tendency year by year. Accordingly, the employment problem of college students is becoming more and more serious. It has attracted more and more attention from government, vocational school, parents and the entire society that how to guide the graduates of secondary vocational school to better jobs and to cultivate their employment competence.This study, directing at a secondary vocational school in Weifang, conducted the sampling questionnaire survey among 300 graduating students and on-site interviews with teachers engaged in employment guidance together with relevant companies.Afterwards, the survey data was processed, on the basis of the results and relevant literature, to analyze the causes of low employment quality of secondary vocational school graduates and put forward the countermeasures to develop the employment competence of students, which could help to improve the quality of employment of graduates.This paper mainly discussed the following four aspects:The first part mainly introduced the research background significance, research status both at home and abroad, research content, innovation and main research methods.The second part summarized related theories on employment competitiveness of secondary vocational school students. It firstly made clear the concept of vocational education, employment competitiveness and employment competitiveness of secondary vocational school students. Afterwards, this paper illustrated the theoretical basis for promoting students’ employment competitiveness.The third part, through the collection and analysis of the survey data and interview result, critically analyzed the current situation of students’ employment competitiveness in secondary vocational schools, as well as factors influencing the promotion ofemployment competitiveness.The fourth part put forward countermeasures on how to develop secondary vocational school students’ employment competitiveness. This study, on the basis of research and analysis, put forward suggestions and countermeasures from three levels of the country and society, the school, and students themselves.The main purpose and the significance of this research were to provide some reference and guidance for graduates’ successful employment of our country’s secondary vocational schools. Furthermore, it is meant to help secondary vocational students make a scientific plan of their career and job objectives, to cultivate their employment competitiveness and to better promote their active and stable employment. |
