The students in secondary vocational school have been always an indispensable part for future development of Chinese municipal and rural construction. Therefore, the cultivation of their interpersonal skills is necessary in this modern society. Better interpersonal skills not only play a pivotal role in their physical and mental health, but also in their career development. While the truth is that many students have their troubles in communicating with others and to make it worse, this is paid insufficient attention from both school and parenting education, and academic field. Hence, it makes my study valued.This study is conducted in one vocational school in Changsha through questionnaire and survey. The study indicates the characteristic of their interpersonal interaction and communication: wide range of social contacts, great diversity in both of their purpose and ways in social activities. Meanwhile, this survey shows us depressing picture: the great alienation between students and their parents in terms of communication, lack of trust between students and teachers, problems between peers, etc.Two main reasons hence concluded from the survey are as follows:the vocational school students have their own way of socializing and the negative effects from their family and public education also play a part in affecting development of interpersonal skills. In the last part of this research, some solutions are proposed in four dimensions : Firstly,students themselves should learn how to cultivate themselves and improve their Interpersonal Communication Strategies; Secondly, the parenthood ought to pay more attention to the guidance for theirchildren’s interpersonal skills; thirdly, school gives them more training on social skills; The last but not the least, social environment should also be improved.The purpose of this study is not only to provide some practical guidance for these secondary vocational students in their development of interpersonal skill, but also promote the moral education for the school.
