The discipline form of Solfèges was formed in the 17 th century in Europe. This curriculum established for students who specialized in vocal music or instrumental courses which needed to improve their ability of sight-singing at that time. It aim s at to cultivate their qualities in pitch, rhythm and musicality. And lay a great foundation for them to study. The contents of Solfèges was extended constantly throughout the 18 th century and still extending at present. Nowadays, Solfèges becomes a basic educational curriculum of music with comprehensive discipline merge. But Solfèges` introduction and development in China was less than one hundred years, and was established as a separated profession in conservatory of music which based on the theory of western music system was less than thirty years, neither.Although the curriculum was introduced in China within less than a century, and of course it is still in progressing, but we can look back to Tang Dynasty, the European musical theory and musical notation was introduced to China whose entrance accompanied with the western musical civilization. While time passed to Qing Dynasty, missionary who lectures western musical theory to Chinese by the comparison of stave and Gongche nation(a traditional Chinese musical notation), and this, might be the earlier form of ear-training and sight-singing. Not until the late 19 th and the early 20 th, did the musician and educationist who studied oversea firstly introduced “Solfèges” into China musical systerm, and set “Solfèges” as a compulsory course of musical elementary course for students who study in music. However, Solfèges`s independent, or in other words, set “Solfèges” as a separate profession in Chinese colleges was actually happened after the Great Cultural Revolution.Solfèges is still in the exploration phrase in China. The author`s point of view is based on the teaching practice experience and the investigation of colleges and universities in China. To analyze and research the construction of Solfèges by study those factors such as: the orientation of Solfèges, the current teaching status, the syllabus, the context of courses, the teaching methods, materials witting and designing, and how to choose a textbook, the examination syllabus etc. To table proposals and make valuable references for the progress of Solfèges.
