Through this study,the researcher aims to investigate and compare the basic features of children's sight-singing and ear-training textbooks in China and France,to design and develop primary school self-edited textbooks for sight-singing and ear-training in music schools with regional and school characteristics,to put the designed textbooks in teaching practice,and to explore the design path,reference value,and possible implementation of school-based textbooks.In this study,six sets of popular Chinese and French sight-singing and ear-training textbooks were selected for analysis and research,and 56 students from two first grade classes in a music school in XM City,FJ Province were selected as the target students for the study.The conclusions drawn are as follows.First,the chosen Chinese textbooks meet the music learning reality of most Chinese students,while French textbooks have relatively systematic structures of sight-singing and ear-training with scientific and compact music knowledge contents that can take care of students' long-term learning cycle,and are more scientific because of their solid subject traditions.Second,it is feasible for music teachers to design and write school-based textbooks for sight-singing and ear-training by themselves.Teachers could be more flexible,but there are also difficulties with personality,teaching style,learning experience,and professional skills.Third,in this study,compared to the original sight-singing and ear-training textbooks,the school-based textbooks designed by researcher for sight-singing and ear-training in the first grade of a music specialty school in XM City have significant effectiveness in teaching,and this effectiveness is significantly correlated with the teachers' own professional skills.
