Interest-oriented history teaching in high school is a kind of new teaching method emerging from another reform of basic course education, which completely reflects the student-centered education idea. Therefore, the interest-oriented history teaching is an important way for the reform of history teaching. However, the implementation of interest-oriented history class in high school is far beyond ideal due to the influence of the old concepts, the restrictions of objective conditions and the competent insufficiency of teachers and students in actual teaching process, which fail to achieve the aim of New Syllabus of history teaching.The subject is based on the questionnaire of the first year students and the best history teachers in the general high schools in Foochow area. With the analysis of the questionnaire, the study objectively reflects the present situation of interest-oriented history teaching in general high schools in Foochow area after the New Syllabus of history teaching. The further analysis also helps the author find out the teaching problems and their reasons existing in the interest-oriented history classes. Finally, combining with the teaching theory of historical education, the author puts forward the basic methods and practical ways for the implementation of interest-oriented history teaching in high school.The innovation of this paper lies in the combination of theory study and questionnaire practice with the further study of state education files and further exploration of the foundation theory of interest-oriented history classes. And the author puts forward her own suggestions on the implementation of the method and the way of interest-oriented history teaching in high school, which aims to help the teachers to develop the interest-oriented history classes effectively. As a result, the interest-oriented history class in high school not only reflects its student- centered purpose, but also plays a supporting role in conventional history teaching.
