Review And Prospect Of The National Education In Hong Kong

"National Education"is an old word in the western country.And the use in China started late.It’s rarely mentioned for Hong Kong society.Because of the separation from the motherland more than 100 years,the national education in Hong Kong is also unique.In July 2012,a big demonstration happened in Hong Kong,which pushed the national education to the front of people.The demonstration used to be a reform in education,but now it has turned to be a serious matter in Hong Kong society.In this paper,we define the concept of national education first,and point out that the national education in Hong Kong is focus on the sense of national belonging and identity of education for students. According to summing up the history of the national education during early colonial,colonial period and return period in Hong Kong,found some problems in the history of national education in Hong Kong.Putting it as a background to analyze "the Hong Kong national education event".With a review of the event,knowing the view from all walks of life and why it has happened, so that we can know the way of Hong Kong’s national education in the future and have some reference on the whole national education of China.
