Young university teachers is the group of the most active, most dynamic and being full of life in the universities’ scientific research team, their level of scientific research development determines the development power of a university in the future and the size of social influence.However, the current situation, there are many practical problemsaboutscientificresearch in younguniversityteachers, these problemswill lead to poor path of personal career development of young university teachers, the lack of the university developmentpower, and will be related to the development of local economy. To improve development ability and level of scientific research for young university teachers as soon as possible and to develop scientific research innovation potential of the group, these have become an important problem to be solved by higher education and are also the guarantee of the strategy of reinvigorating China through human resource development in our country.This study uses young teachers of 9 undergraduate universities in Gansu province as the research object, on the basis of the statistical analysis of survey data, the study found that:(1) In the past two years, in scientific research, young university teachers of different gender in the published papers, publications, research projects, patent application, the number of awards, scientific research achievements of male young teachers are obviously more than female young teachers’.(2) For young university teachers of different disciplines category, published in SCI, EI, SSCI journals indexing paper, natural science classes are more than humanity classes, published in the A&HCI, CSSCI and other publication paper, humanity classes are more than natural science classes; For publications, young teachers of humanity classes published works more than natural science classes; For scientific research project, young teachers of natural science classes obtain scientific research projects more than humanity classes;For total number of patents, young teachers of natural science classes apply for patents significantly more than humanity classes; For awards, young teachers of natural science classes obtain awards slightly more than humanity classes.(3) For the young university teachers of different degree, the higher the degree, the more published papers in the journal of high-levelobviously, and the amount of paper is large;Total number of young teachers with master’s degree have total number of works at most;The higher the degree, the more scientific research projects;The higher the degree, the more patent application; Young teachers with master’s degree win the most awards.(4) The young university teachers of different professional and technical titles, young teachers of intermediate title publish papers at most; Young teachers of intermediate title publish books at most, deputy high titles of young teachers take second place;Deputy high titles of young teachers obtain the most scientific research projects,young teachers of intermediate title take second place; Young teachers of intermediate title apply for patents at most, deputy high titles of young teachers take second places; Young university teachers of intermediate title win the most awards.(5) For the young university teachers of different job positions, in the published papers, publications, research projects, patent applications andthe number of awards, young teachers of teaching positions have scientific research achievementsare more than young teachers’ scientific research achievements in management positions and other job positions.(6) In the academic exchanges, young teachers without participating in any academic groups up to 72.4%,young teachers without holding the position of director in the academic community or above is as high as 96.2%, young teachers without taking part in the international conference is as high as 84.1%, young teachers without taking part in domestic conference is 62.5%, 61.9% of the young teachers said that the university had no academic exchange platform for young teachers, young teachers to participate in academic exchanges occasionally account for more than half, which accounts for 50.6%.From these data we can see that few young university teachers participate in the academic community, less young university teachers hold the post of academic group director or above the position, a chance to attend the international conferences is less than attending the domestic conferences, the universities have less academicplatform for young teachers, the frequency of young teachers to participate in academic exchanges is not high. In general, young university teachers lack severely the academic exchange activities.(7) In the talent cultivation, without holding the post of the master tutors reaches up to 89.5%, without holding the post of the doctoral supervisors reaches up to 98.4%. Because of qualifications and experienc and so on and so forth, young teachers cannot serve as master tutors and the doctoral supervisors in the majority.From the statistical data and analysis, we can see that at present, the young university teachers’ scientific research level in Gansu province is lower; mainly the result is caused by two aspects of subjective and objective factors.This paper puts forward the tenth countermeasures and suggestions.
