Junior art design teaching has a very important position and is tocultivate students’ imagination ability,innovation ability and practical ability to docontent.But the teaching of rural design has not received the attention at present andits practical significance and educational value are still to be improved.This paper uses literature research,survey research and case studies to explore thecurrent status of design teaching in the rural junior middle schools.Besides,the paperanalyzes and researches the existing problems and gives the correspondingimprovement strategies.This paper mainly analyzes and studies the current situation of the art designcourse of the rural junior middle school in Funan county.Firstly,the researchbackground,purpose,content and method of the research is brieflyintroduced.Secondly,the definition of the subject,the research status of the domesticand foreign,the new curriculum requirements for the design,and the necessity of thedesign of junior middle school art design are summarized.Again,the Funan CountyRural junior middle school teaching design were investigated through six aspects ofthe school,family,teachers,students,teaching materials and classroom.Besides thestatus of the investigation are summarized and analyzed and find out the problemsexisted in current teaching design.Finally,the paper explore the development strategyand under the social environment emphatically from the aspects of teachers andstudents to find the road.Improving the teachers’ professional qualities,eachingknowledge and teaching ability,improving the teaching evaluation system.Studentsdevelop creative thinking and maintain a high degree of interest in designing coursesunder the guidance of teachers.The recognition and attention of the design course isgained by the generous teaching results and make the rural art design courses becarried out effectively.
