As an important part of the professional knowledge of geography teachers, it’s a ability of the precondition of teachers engaged in teaching and the basic requirements.It serves as the premise of classroom teaching and teaching effect as well as the core symbol of teacher professional development. Furthermore the implementation and acquisition of the pedagogical knowledge has a direct infection on teaching teaching activities. To improve teachers’ professional ability is of great significance to promote teachers’ specialization, improving the efficiency of the education teaching and the quality of education. In 2012, the ministry of education issued “middle school teachers’ professional standard(trial)”( hereinafter referred to as the "standard"), respectively,for middle school teachers’ professional philosophy and ethics, professional knowledge and professional ability to put forward. The pedagogical knowledge is the core.“Professional standard” to “knowledge ”as one of the basic concept of teacher professional development, and professional knowledge in curriculum standard,curriculum resources, the teaching method and student’s cognitive characteristics of six areas, such as the provided the direction for teachers’ access, training, assessment and evaluation.This research using literature method, questionnaire investigation, case analysis and classroom observation, etc. summarizing the history and current situation of teachers’ ability development at home and abroad and defining the relevant concepts of the pedagogical content knowledge of senior high school geography teachers of "professional standard"; Based on the investigation of pedagogical knowledge of senior high school geography teachers in Lanzhou. Through teachers questionnaires and interviews, this paper presents the implementation and acquisition of pedagogical knowledge of senior high school geography teachers and then problems are shown after an illustration of information collected. Research shows that some geography teacher hardly interpret the curriculum standard clearly, develop the curriculum resource monotonously, select the teaching method singly, and observe the students’ cognitive characters incompletely.These questions caused development for the pedagogical content knowledge of senior high school geography teachers a lot of limitations. Therefor, this research put forward some countermeasures about improve the pedagogical content knowledge of senior high school geography teachers. These countermeasures will help to improve effect on teaching activity, promote professionalism of teachers and quality of education.perfect the theory of senior high school geography teachers professionalization. What’s more, it’s provide a reference that higher normal universities training senior high school geography teachers. Finally, these countermeasures will help new teacher to master the pedagogical content knowledge and accelerate teacher professional development.
