Pop songs are students willing to accept things, popular songs contains rich curriculum resources, If we can develop and make good use of this language pop curriculum resources, make it combine with reading teaching better, it will be able to motivate the students’ interest in Chinese reading, so as to ultimately achieve the purpose of improving students’ Chinese accomplishment.This paper is mainly based on the literature analysis method, questionnaire survey method, interview method, the application of case study analysis the current popular songs in the middle school language reading teaching.Through high school in Hubei Province songs and reading teaching a combination of survey and analysis of the status quo, find existing problems in the application of the following:(1)between the teacher and the teacher, the language curriculum resources for songs between students and teachers knowledge gaps;(2) classroom teachers exist "superficial" phenomenon and can not expand confused teaching;(3) the students extracurricular reading is not broad;(4) the teacher successful references pop songs in Chinese reading teaching success has not shared resources;(5) the teacher introduce popular songs in the teaching behavior has not been generally accepted.Based on the present situation and problems, popular songs as Chinese course resources in the development and utilization of still need to be improved:(1) the teacher independent sort of popular songs as auxiliary reading teaching content;(2) the teacher should guide the reader deep mining songs teaching resources;(3) open up special courses on the combination of popular songs with the teaching of reading.
