Textbook is the media of teaching activities,it will affect the students’enthusiasm and the efficiency of classroom teaching.Therefore,the textbook plays a very important role in the teaching process.Chinese textbook is compose of text system,reading aid system,exercise system and knowledge system.It is conducive to cultivate the students’ability of independent exploring,and provide conditions for students to develop good reading habits.The Chinese curriculum standards of compulsory education places great emphasis on the function of reading in the language teaching process,and argues that reading teaching is a process of dialogue among students,teachers,the textbook editor and the text.Language teaching should not only realize the interaction among teachers,students and texts,but also pay special attention to reflect the will of the editor and achieve a dialogue with the editor.Therefore,the interpretation of the text and the determination of the teaching objectives can not ignore reading aid system.Although it is important to help the reader,it has not been studied deeply and carefully in the academic research.It has not been used by teachers in the actual teaching process.Therefore,in-depth study of the reading aid system,analysis,summed up its advantages and disadvantages,in order to practical use in the process of foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses,give full paly to the function.Base on this,my paper is divided into four parts to carry out,I select the current version of the middle school Chinese textbook’s reading aid system as the research object.The first part mainly about the concept and constituent elements of reading aid system,the historical development of read aid system and its function. The second part is the analysis of the current version of the middle school Chinese textbook’s reading aid system.I classified them into text and image and analyzed them through examples and comparisons.The third part is the summary of advantages.In order to make the analysis more comprehensive,I have carried on the contrast research separately from the vertical and the horizontal.I choose three versions of Chinese textbook to compare with the current PEP,they are old PEP,Jiangsu Education Press and Shandong Education Press.The fourth part is my thinking about the current teaching edition of the reading aid system.Similarly,I also through the comparative analysis to explain the existing problems, and on this basis, to propose my own suggestions.
