Education is an eternal topic, and education informatization is an important partof society informatization and is the inevitable way to realize educationmodernization. To evaluate the performance of education informatization constructioncan fully grasp the current informatization performance level and to provide policysupport with the method improvement and idea renewal to further promoteeducation informatization.With vocational colleges’ education informatization as the research object, theuse of fuzzy DEA method can rationally reallocate educational resources, improveinformation level and management level, promote the higher vocational education totransform from scale development to connotation development and realize the goal ofenergetically developing vocational education. Specifically speaking, work on thefollowing aspects has been done:First of all, the current research situation of evaluation of educationinformatization is analyzed and related concepts and theories are described. Atpresent, researches on evaluation of education informatization is still at the startingstage in our country, especially the researches on vocational colleges that begin todevelop later;Secondly, according to the higher vocational education’s law and highervocational colleges’ characteristics, it analyzes these colleges’ input and output, andestablishes a performance evaluation system on the basis of these analyses, and itintroduces the concept of fuzzy sets, extending determined index to fuzzy index;Finally, it establishes the performance evaluation model of higher vocationalcolleges’ informatization based on fuzzy DEA, which seeks answers by using solutionmethod based on the cut set. It selects eight higher vocational colleges as the research object, ranks their performances through calculation and conducts furtheranalyses.The results show that: firstly, the education informationization is a long termaccumulation process with many inputs and outputs, and effective evaluation of itrequests to pay attention to the scientific and reasonable index system and to choose aevaluation model that can meet demands; secondly, the DEA method can effectivelydeal with performance evaluation of education informatization, while the introductionof the concept of fuzzy sets reflects these indexes’ real situation so that the evaluationresult is more scientific.
